For Pday last week we had plans to go to
the temple and the plaza of Trujillo and we asked our district leader and he
was alright with it but didn´t ask the zone leaders for permission so we just
stayed around town for that day. Also our pensionista doesn´t cook for us on
Pdays unless we pay her....but it was past lunch time so we had to find the
least sketchy restaurant to eat at. Stuff is pretty cheap here, i got a plate
of rice and potatoes with a full fish for $2 which my stomach was not at all
prepared for.
This week we did a lot of door to door
contacting, trying to find some new investigators. It´s pretty hot most of the
day until the night and then it gets really windy.
There is this park next to out pension
that was being dedicated and they had this large ceremony with this really intense
salsa band which was pretty cool but lasted from 3 in the afternoon until after
I was asleep. It was pretty cool and all but it was practically shaking our
room. (Thanks mom for the earplugs)
We´ve been able to meet with a lot of
families this week and invited one to a FHE which was really fun except the
part when they asked me to give the spiritual thought which I was not really
prepared to give....I’m not sure if anybody knew where I was going with it
because i am terrible at explaining and telling stories in Spanish at the
moment.
Also we found this cool cat hiding outside
our room making a lot of noise, so we let it in for a little while.....it then
ran away.
I don’t have too much to report this
week...all is good though!
