Well, this week passed by pretty
quick. If you were to look at my agenda for this week you could see how much we
could have accomplished...but, many people are hard to get ahold of, so when we
stop by they don’t answer or they say to come back later and then aren´t there.
So we did a lot of contacting and found a family and we taught the mother and
daughter the restoration and they both accepted the invitation to be baptized
and the mother came to church with us yesterday.
The language is
coming pretty fast, mostly just the listening and comprehending part, but
everyday i can speak a little more.
One interesting
story this week happened on our way to a few investigators who are Adventists.
We stopped by and noticed that there were a ton of people over and they looked
pretty busy, so we kind of walked passed deciding what we should do, when
someone inside invited us in and kept insisting. So we got inside and it came
to me that it was Saturday, and for Adventists that is their Sabbath. We shook some
hands of some members took our seats and they just started to begin their
service. We sang a few songs and did some prayer type things with them, not
really knowing what we were doing but just following what everyone else was
doing. Then the man who was conducting told everyone that they had some special
visitors who have a message for them. They all looked at us and then i looked
at my companion not really knowing how much we can share without offending
anyone. We just shared the first principles from lesson 1 about how God loves
us and families, and ended with sharing some bible verses. It was pretty cool,
we had to leave after that because of an appointment and also because their
service is 5 hours.
On Pday we went to this little zoo
that’s in our area. It was really chill and was more like a petting zoo because
the animals would walk up to you and theirs not too much of a barrier. We also
asked a guy that worked there if we could take out a snake to hold it and he
had no problem with that.
That´s pretty much all, i think. I’m
just getting warmed up to this area and this area is definitely getting warmed
up to me, in the sense that it is getting REALLY hot.
