This week was a little more packed than
usual. On pday we had plans to go to chan chan as a district but some things
kinda fell and my district leader had an emergency exchange and so we ended up
going to the zoo that was nearby. This time at the zoo there was an iguana on
the loose and we caught it and took some pics and afterwards we didn´t know how
to get it back in it´s habitat so we just put it on the roof.
Then we got our apartment approved on Wednesday.
It still doesn´t have light, hot water, or toilet seats yet, so I’ve been
having to get used to that. Anyways we pay the rent on the 1st and 15th of
every month so Thursday morning we packed up all our things then we had some
interviews with the president and got back finished packing and we asked our member
friend to ask in his group chat to see if anyone has a car that can carry
our stuff. The old bishop that lives below us owns a bus that he drives for
work and so we squeezed all of our stuff through the tiny bus doors except for
one desk that only fit halfway and my comp held onto from the inside. We got
all our stuff loaded and set up our bed and it was 6pm. We had dinner with a
member family because we haven´t found a new pensionista yet then we had ward
council.
Our zone leaders came over the next day
to take care of some stuff and while we were talking on our porch this man
passed and asked us to visit him and his family and his sister and her family
who live in the same development. Then as we were tallking to the zone leaders
about how we still need a pension this lady walks by and started talking how a
few years ago she gave pension to missionaries like us and owns a kitchen. So I’m
starting to like this new location.
This week we built a coral for some
ducks out of the wood and nails we could find in this lady´s yard.
Also we´ve been in a trio for a few days
now with Elder Lengua and last night after the Christmas devotional we didn´t
have time to go to our pension so we just stayed the night at Lengua´s and
there were only two beds, but we managed.
