Sorry It´s been a while. Last week was
pretty busy. We haven´t really had time to do anything. I got pretty sick on
Thursday with a high fever and pretty much stayed in bed all morning until I
had a interview with the president and then did a little bit of visiting but i
was so out of it, I took so much ibuprofen but it didn’t really do anything.
Then later that same night we had the activity in the ward that we host every
Thursday. I don´t really remember too much besides being really dizzy. Then to
top it off that night we had exchanges with our zone leaders and so we had to
go to their room on top of the mountain.
The next day I felt a bit better but we
still had full day of contacting doors and I forgot to bring my sunscreen that
day and burnt my face super bad. Their area is super cool though and we went
knocking on doors all the way until there were no more houses because there’s
too much mountain. The rest of the week was pretty normal except I think i have
bed bugs because I have a bunch of terrible bites on my body. I found my bottle
of permethrin so I think I’ll treat my mattress and see how that works.
I didn´t get to write on pday because I
was told the night before, that I’m leaving to Lima for the day. It felt weird
that day because we didn´t do any work and just sat on a plane and then waited
in lines and got a picture and fingerprints taken and then we left and waited
in the airport until our flight left at 7. We found some American food in the
airport and so we ordered 3 pizzas, 12 cokes and 3 breadsticks and we all 5 of
us finished all of it in like 15 minutes. And the take off from Lima was super
cool to see this gigantic city from the air.
This week it´s been getting hotter,
perhaps it doesn´t show online but the sun is super intense and mean. Also
sorry I don’t have too many pictures, i haven´t been keeping my camera with me
too much because my area is a little sketchy but here´s a pic of our airport
food.
