Templo de Trujillo

Gettin’ used to my new area, it´s feeling a lot better. There are just a lot of people here and we´re constantly talking with everybody. So not too much out of the ordinary.

We had a birthday lunch for someone in our district and ate lots of ceviche and cake. Their pension is super cool too because it´s on the top of this mountain and you can see all of Trujillo but i didn´t have my camera so sorry.

It´s come to the point where it´s never close to cold. Even in the mornings when you think that it´s cooled off, it´s hot.

We have a new pensionista who is super awesome. Normally the pensionistas here just make a ton of rice and meat for your meals and think that it´s sufficient but really there´s not too much nutrition in that and it sometimes gets boring. But with the new pensionista she actually puts vegetables with the rice which is amazing and instead of chicken everyday it´s fish and ceviche of octopus.

Also the reason my pday is today on a Tuesday is because we got to go to the temple today. The Trujillo temple is the coolest. It has air conditioning. There are also some cool stores that sell pretty cool Peru themed church things.

I guess I’ll talk about some new people we found this week. One of which is called Efrain. He´s an animador, or someone who introduces big music groups and is constantly traveling but we contacted into him one night and he started to explain how he´s had this drinking problem and the night before his wife and children had left him and he had prayed for the first time in years. We´ve met with him twice so far and has a baptismal date and has stopped drinking for about 2 weeks now and his family finally returned. We have other investigators but he probably has the coolest life.
