MONDAY we were told that it was only a 30-minute walk to the beach Huanchaco, so we decided go to the beach. We didn`t really know how to get there but we knew the general direction of the ocean. After an hour and a half through what seemed like a desert we made it and walked along the beach which was super nice. I also found this baby head out in the middle of the desert

TUESDAY packed up my things and headed to my new area in Florenciea de Mora which is a lot more compacted than my last area and is just pure city, so I get to say good bye to the sand for now. Got my companion Elder Casco from Ecuador and we dropped my stuff off in our room and then contacted all day. My highlight of this day is that I got to take a shower for the first time in over a week which felt really good.

WEDNESDAY wasn`t very interesting we had a district meeting and proselyted.

THURSDAY was pretty much a repeat of Wednesday but instead of a district meeting we cleaned this guys guinea pig cages ( because lots of people have guinea pig farms because I’ve been told they taste good).

FRIDAY was a repeat of Thursday minus the guinea pigs. We found a recent convert less active family. The father of the family works all day, which leaves the wife with the five children all under the age of 9 with one of them being deaf.

SATURDAY was good. All of our appointments fell and we did a lot of contacting with this returned missionary who went with us. When we got back to our room I had to prepare a talk for Sunday so i stayed up writing it until the next year. The fireworks were real crazy because here it`s super dense with people and almost everyone has fireworks. So it was pretty insane and within 5 minutes the entire city was covered with smoke you couldn`t see anything, only the flashes of light.

SUNDAY morning everyone started to finish up their parties. Our church starts at 8 so there was hardly anybody there. I was first to speak and as I got up I noticed that my mission president was in the congregation for some reason. The rest of the day went as usual.
