Muy buenos dias...I´ll just get right
into this.
MONDAY morning we went to go show a
house to some less actives who have been looking and because we´re missionaries
walking around all day we happened to see many houses that are for rent. So we
showed them the house and it looks like they´re going to buy it. Then we played
some soccer up towards the mountain and I’ve never sweat more in my entire
life. Then we went back and had some mac n cheese but realized we used
evaporated milk instead of normal milk because i guess since all the milk is in
cans the lady couldn´t tell the difference, and neither could we. Then our
district came over to our room and our district leader tried to figure out
everyone´s expenses in a very complicated way.
TUESDAY we had interchanges with our
district leader up on the mountain and got my first kiss in the mission and fought
a dog.
WEDNESDAY we had some service back on
the mountain or hill (for reference it´s called cerro cabras) and are almost
finished building this ranch. Then we had a member come with us to some
appointments and then we found a cool store that sells nice pens.
THURSDAY we had a zone conference with
president in the institute building downtown, which had air conditioning. Then
when it finished we were all leaving and president asked if he could come
teaching with us....so we said sure. He came with his van and picked us up like
our dad. Everyone was looking at us because of the automatic doors and nobody
has that here. Our first appointment fell and we went to our back up and the
lesson was super cool. I don´t know how president did it but he was able to
explain everything so perfectly and we committed her to be baptized in 2 weeks
and she already felt prepared and our president mad arrangements to go to her
baptism. Later that night we had another baptismal interview with this girl
we´ve been teaching and it lasted about 2 hours and our district leader thought
he should postpone the baptism to next week and we thought he made a bad call
so we tried communicating with our ward mission leader and stake president but
by the time we got an answer from the president it was too late to have the
baptism as planned.
FRIDAY we proselyted like usual. We were
walking and this lady from a second floor called us and asking if we needed referrals
and so we asked her if we could come in and talk because traffic was pretty
loud and she started telling us all these ridiculous stories and showing us how
her leg is broken in half. We later learned that she
was schizophrenic.
SATURDAY we had some more service and
went to go paint the inside of someone´s house. Then ran into our stake
president who was really confused why we postponed the baptism. Then we went to
that person who our president converted and it turns out she´s not literally
married because sometimes people tell you their married if they´ve been living together
and have kids. Then we went out to eat burgers for dinner.
SUNDAY we had some time to plan in the
morning since stake conference was later but the rock band church next to us
was having there services but in the middle the power went out in our block and
so they tried to continue their services with just drums, but after that the
people just left. Then we had stake conference and we had to sit really far
away but it was really good. Then after president marble came and burned our
district leader a little bit and then our district leader went to go make
things right with our investigator. Then we proselyted with our ward mission
leader all day and nobody was home or didn´t have time and we knocked sooo many
doors that day and finally at 8:30 we finally found this investigator who we
met 5 weeks earlier and told us he wants to be a member, so that was cool.
This transfer has passed the fastest so
far.....sorry i didn´t take a whole ton of pictures but here’s a pic of some
mac, and half a mannequin in our neighbors house and this dog that has started
to follow us around.
